This is an authentic, 1960s Japanese Jungle Emperor jigsaw puzzle. It is large: 14 5/8 inches wide by 9 7/8 inches high. The picture is bright, the finish is lustrous.



This puzzle is in excellent condition for its age. It has almost all its original lustre and just minor dirt. The pictures show the puzzle from two different angles so that you can see that the white areas in each picture are merely reflected light from the shine on this puzzle. The puzzle features many of the characters from the TV show. Starting from the left there is Claw, the evil lion; Pauline, Pauly the parrot's long lost love; Kitty; one of the crested herons from the episode "Battle at Dead River"; Kimba, wearing the clothes he wore in the original manga; Jacko the rat; Bucky Gazelle; momma hippo and baby hippo; and Pauley Cracker. The sign at the bottom right says, "Janguru Taitei" ("Jungle Emperor").

There are signs of use and wear around the edges, and light dirt in various locations. There is a small section of the picture missing at the very bottom right corner and a light scratch on momma hippo's face. And the child that owned this puzzle tried out his artistic abilities on the back side



which adds to the charm of the piece.
